MHEA AGM and JCB Site Visit October 31st 2014

MHEA are pleased to announce that this year’s AGM will be preceded by a site visit to the world renowned JCB manufacturing plant.

JCB Factory Tour Overview

Your visit will begin with a welcome from JCB, followed by refreshments and a short presentation in the JCB Theatre showing the corporate AV on the global manufacturing facilities and products. Afterwards you will be invited by one of our Tour Guides to attend a personal tour of the new ‘’Story of JCB’’ exhibition and the JCB shop.

The tour will then move on to the assembly line of the world famous Backhoe Loader machine , here you will see the process of how the machine is built from the delivery of the sheet steel, profiling, laser cutting, welding, paint shop, assembly and finally the finished product! The tour will also include the office facilities.

More details on time (the visit will be in the morning commencing at 10am) and booking in arrangements will follow – there is no cost to members attending the visit –Reserve your place NOW !!

Following the visit a complementary Lunch will be provided at the Heath House Conference Centre, Uttoxeter

The Executive Committee hope that those attending the Site visit and lunch will stay for the AGM to support the election of officers for the forthcoming year.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS – MEMBERSHIP OF THE MHEA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Please note that the MHEA Constitution states that any member company is entitled to nominate, in writing, to the Secretary a candidate or candidates for election to the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee of the Association is made up of the President, Vice President and the immediate Past President and eight Ordinary members.

It is also my duty to inform member companies of the name(s) of those who will be retiring from the Executive Committee at the forthcoming AGM to be held on the 31st October 2014 at the Heath House Conference Centre, Uttoxeter.

According to the MHEA constitution two members shall retire at the AGM in each year and shall be eligible for re-election, this year there are two officers retiring through rotation and are offering themselves for re-election.

Roy Ball, Rulmeca, retires through rotation and offers himself for re-election

Simon Nadin, Siemens Mechanical Drives, retires through rotation and offers himself for re-election.

Mike Redmond of Bosch Rexroth Ltd, is nominated as President of MHEA for a further year

Micheal Kaye, Flexco, is nominated as Vice President of MHEA for a further year.

Paul Bancroft of Joy Global, Surface Mining Conveyors as immediate past president is automatically elected to the Executive Committee for a further year.

On or before the 10th October 2013 the Secretary will notify the official representatives of MHEA’s Corporate Member companies, the name(s) of candidates who are nominated, in accordance with the procedure outlined above.
