THE MATERIALS HANDLING ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION SUSTAINABILITY AWARD
This award recognises companies that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to sustainability within the bulk materials handling industry.
The sustainability award aligns with MHEA’s overall mission to promote sustainability and best practices within the industry.
This award will focus on recognising the outstanding efforts of individuals and groups who have predominantly contributed towards sustainable development. The award is presented to those people who have demonstrated their exceptional skills, unique concepts, innovative processes, or advanced technologies that encourage sustainability in various areas, including:
- Efficiency in the handling of bulk raw materials
- Energy Efficiency
- Waste reduction
- Decarbonisation
Companies that submit an award entry must ensure that they clearly stipulate:
- Stakeholder’s clear and agreed-upon vision of the past, current, and future state of the business from a sustainability perspective
- How their range of products and services has helped their clients, and the industry at large, to reduce their environmental impact
- Steps taken to reduce their companies own impact in the fields of environmental, social and governance
The MHEA believes that this fantastic opportunity will undoubtedly inspire people to work even harder to create a sustainable future while promoting a sense of community among like-minded individuals. The winner of the award will be announced at the MHEA’s BulkEx 24 conference on the evening of 15th October 2024 at the Gala Dinners’ Excellence Awards. The introduction of this award highlights the growing importance of sustainability within the bulk materials handling industry and encourages companies to adopt more sustainable practices.
The award is free to enter and is open to companies or individuals who have made an outstanding contribution in the field of sustainability within the bulk materials handling industry during 2023 / 2024.

Application is easy. Simply complete the awards entry pack which can be downloaded at the bottom of this page and submit before the 1st September 2024 with any other supporting documents to the MHEA Secretariat following the outlined format and criteria.
