Roy Hatfield Group is a family-owned business with over 50 years of experience in conserving resources, supplying industry and pioneering sustainable solutions.

Established in 1972 by Roy Hatfield with a single wagon collecting industrial by-products from steelworks across South Yorkshire, the business has grown into a leading provider of essential bulk materials, recycling, waste management, materials handling and logistics solutions to UK and European industry.

Our expertise spans Waste Services, Plasterboard & Gypsum Recycling, Site Services, Bulk Raw Materials, Alternative Raw Materials, Secondary Aggregates, Energy & Industrial Commodities and Logistics, including bulk haulage, rail freight and shipping.

Sustainability and the circular economy have been central to the business from the beginning. We specialise in recovering, recycling and reusing industrial wastes and by-products, helping customers reduce waste, conserve valuable resources and find practical alternatives to virgin materials. Our award-winning plasterboard recycling facility alone recovers more than 100,000 tonnes of plasterboard each year.

From industrial waste management and recycling to bulk material processing, crushing and screening, plant and equipment provision, materials handling, waste brokerage, commodity supply and road, rail and sea freight, our teams provide practical, reliable solutions backed by decades of industry experience.

We’re equally proud of our commitment to people and communities. Roy Hatfield Group supports dozens of charities, grassroots sports teams and community organisations, helping causes ranging from homelessness and vulnerable people to veterans, wildlife charities and projects further afield.

Built on integrity, innovation and good service delivery, we continue to develop long-term partnerships that deliver for our customers, our people, our communities and the environment.
