SAMSON Materials Handling Ltd has provided specialist engineering solutions to the bulk materials handling industry since 1966. It designs and manufactures mobile equipment that can move an incredibly wide range of materials, and is used by companies in a variety of different and diverse industries, from mining and minerals to ports and power. SAMSON is part of the internationally renowned AUMUND Group, which includes AUMUND Fördertechnik and SCHADE Lagertechnik in Germany, specialising in professional bulk handling solutions that provide the very highest levels of performance, engineering and reliability.

 

Martin Dummigan has been appointed Managing Director of SAMSON Materials Handling Ltd, Ely, UK, member of the AUMUND Group of companies, effective 1st April 2023.

 

 

He brings with him to SAMSON more than 30 years of leadership experience in manufacturing and business development with global organisations.

He will be a tremendous asset to AUMUND and SAMSON with his extensive knowledge of manufacturing and his international experience,” says Dr Pietro de Michieli, CEO AUMUND Group. Martin Dummigan holds a master’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering, and started his career in 1990 as a research and development engineer.

 

Over the next three decades he held numerous senior manufacturing and corporate management positions in various countries including China, USA, Japan and South Africa. He last served as Vice President Operational Material Solutions, where he was responsible for global manufacturing. At the same time, he acted as Managing Director for a subsidiary of the company in Northern Ireland.

 

Martin Dummigan says, “I am very much looking forward to contributing to growth in AUMUND Group business and to leading SAMSON successfully into the future. I look forward in my new role at SAMSON to implementing my experience gained with major global manufacturing companies, and my key skills in operations, personnel development, financial management and project leadership.”
