The Materials Handling Engineers’ Association (MHEA)

Roy Dobson 1954-2019

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Roy Dobson passed away suddenly on Tuesday the 30th of April while working at his desk at home.

Roy was extremely well known throughout the many industries we work in but in particular the mining and quarrying sectors having obtained a BSc. (Hons) in Minerals Engineering from the University of Birmingham and then going on to work for Matthew Hall Ortech, Kennedy and Donkin and since 1995 Fairport Engineering.

Roy was a bachelor for the majority of his life but married Tracy in August of 2016.

Roy had just reduced to a part time role and we all hoped to see him enjoy his retirement after all his years of devoted service to the company.
